MESS - Resources
The largest and most complete work of all those which I
focus is obviously the one that triggered the whole project: the
snapshots. The images that you download from links below are divided
into different categories, some of which can be viewed with any MESS
frontends).
MESS looks into this folder to find artworks: as for MAME artworks,
these are overlay files which can make easier or more satisfactory the
emulation. Typical examples are images of calculators, pocket computers
and chess computers which allow a much more faithful experience than the
simple LED display. MESS also supports clickable artworks which are very
useful for calculators, pocket computers and chess computers: by
clicking on the keys shown in the artwork, you will pass the
corresponding inputs to the emulated system! (source:
http://www.mess.org/mess:howto?s[]=artworks).
Represent what is being shown at the first launch
of a system (without any software). This set in only for Parent systems.

brochures and advertising for emulated systems.
Each system has its icon with this collection (good for front-end).
The collection shows, in most cases, the keyboards to use the emulated hardware or controllers of consoles.

to the folder "Marquees" of your MESS.
