Create a folder on your desktop called ‘Mame32’.
Place the recently downloaded Mame32 zip file into that folder.
Using an archive program like
WinZip, extract the contents of the Mame32 zip file into the \mame32
folder. In WinZip select Extract from the Actions menu [or press the Extract
button], be sure the ‘Use folder names’ checkbox is checked. You should now
have a folder which looks like the image below.
Download the three freely available public domain ROMs from
Mame.net. Place these files still in their zipped forms, into the
\mame32\roms folder.
Some early games require sampled sounds [Space Invaders, Donkey
Kong, etc.] due to their sound hardware, these are available at
Mame.net. If a game requires samples it will show on the game's property
tab [alt-enter]. Place your sample files as zip files into the \mame32\samples
folder.
